🌱 Toledo Police Search For 2 Missing Girls + Havre Street Shooting

First, today's weather:

Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:

  1. 29-year-old Derrick Kimble was allegedly shot to death by 27-year-old Tyrefa Hill in the 400 block of Havre Street around 6:30 PM Monday. Kimble and Hill were in a past relationship and the latter turned herself in to the Safety Building. (WTOL)
  2. Toledo Police are still searching for Samari Knighten, 7, and Cszera Reyes, 13, who were last seen Thursday night in the 3000 block of Hartman. Their guardian suspects the girls' mother Latoya Overton encouraged the children to run after an Easter visit. (WTVG)
  3. Toledo man Michael Jackson, 35, was sentenced to 9 to 12 years in prison for a aggravated vehicular homicide that occurred in February. Jackson was fleeing police when he struck Mohamed Souare, 35, of Harrisburg, North Carolina. (WTVG)
  4. Local group Young Men and Women for Change is teaching kids and parents accountability through "tough love." Founder Shawn Mahone Sr. has been running the program for 16 years. (WTOL)
  5. Imagination Station received a grant in 2019 from the KeyBank Foundation for "Project Discovery." The program serves as a partnership with Toledo Public Schools. (La Prensa)
