- Thousands of people from across the USA will flood downtown Port Clinton to watch the Walleye Drop this New Year's Eve.

- Mayor Kapszukiewicz announced the City of Toledo will sue former council members Yvonne Harper, Tyrone Riley and Larry Sykes over their salaries after they were convicted of public corruption charges. The amounts range from $150,000 to $200,000 and taxes, health benefits and pensions may also be a factor. (WTVG)
- Danbury Township K-9 handler Officer Kyle Scott has resigned after he was previously suspended without pay December 14 for a drug-related incident. Emergency crews were sent to Scott's house December 14 when Scott's wife called 911 after he reportedly passed out after consuming marijuana. (WTVG)
- The Cherry Street Mission has been serving an increasing number of individuals with the temperatures dropping outside. Program Manager Nora Riggs says the shelter is in need of winter clothing to help keep the community warm. (WNWO)
- Since 1996, Port Clinton has been ringing in the New Year with its "Walleye Drop." Thousands of people from across the USA will flood downtown Port Clinton to watch the fiberglass fish drop. (WTOL)
- The Toledo Zoo will be extending its Lights Before Christmas event through this weekend. Saturday will see a "Noon Year's Eve" event and the Zoo will open at 10 AM that day. (WTOL)

- A house fire in Newcomerstown has resulted in six deaths, including four children. The fire took place on Spaulding Ave. around 1:30 AM Monday. (WTVG)
- Toledo Christian will host a basketball clinic Thursday from 2-4 PM that will honor Melvin Thomas. Thomas died during a shooting at Hudson and Elm on September 8 and was a 2013 graduate of Toledo Christian. (WTVG)
