Hey, everybody. It's Wednesday in Toledo and I'm back in your inbox to get you caught up on all the most important things happening in town. In today's issue, you'll get updates on:
- Madison Gibson, 23, is out on bond after stabbing a man and woman Friday on Jackman Road.

Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- Madison Gibson, 23, was charged after attempting to stab a man and woman in the 4400 block of Jackman Road on September 30. After appearing in court on October 3, Gibson was released on her own recognizance and her next court date is October 20. (WTVG)
- Mental health will be a topic of discussion at this year's NAMI Greater Toledo 7th Annual Latino Leadership Initiative Forum on Tuesday, October 11. University of Toledo faculty and Mental Health Advocate Louie Guardiola will speak at the event, which will address bilingual worker shortages and ending the stigma of seeking treatment in the community. - Two local companies are producing devices in the Toledo area that thwart catalytic converter thefts. Cat Clamp in Toledo and Cat Strap in Whitehouse offer products that prevent thieves from cutting through to a car's catalytic converter. (WTVG)
- After 71-year-old Nancy Lewton was murdered by her 31-year-old son on Saturday, her childhood friend Bette Rabbit is speaking out. The two have sustained a decades-long friendship after meeting as third graders at Old Orchard Elementary in West Toledo. (WTOL)
- Owens Community College hosted a free dentistry clinic for children aged 6-18 on Monday. Twenty-four students from the dental hygiene and dental assistant programs provided care for around 50 patients, including teeth cleanings, fillings, and x-rays. (WNWO NBC 24)

- Former Toledo Human Society Executive Director Gary Willoughby spent the night with 175 dogs and cats at the Gulf Coast Humane Society during Hurricane Ian. Willoughby has served as executive director of the Florida shelter for the past year. (WTVG)
- Toledo Police are investigating after a man was shot in the 3500 block of Hilltip Blvd. around 9 PM Monday. (WTVG)
- R+L Carriers will build a 161,447 square-foot trucking facility that will cost $11.4 million and employ up to 199 people. The structure will sit at the corner of County Roads 18 and 212 near Owens Community College. (The Courier)
- As the City of Toledo moves to upgrade thousands of home water meters, one family is experiencing complications with their plumbing the city won't cover. (WTOL)
- Maumee residents are reporting outrageous water bills, with resident Kayla Plaunt having to pay more than $4,000 at one point. Though Mayor Rich Carr issued a statement that residents could call regarding their bill, Plaunt says her attempts to reach out have gone unanswered. (WTOL)
