Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- The Toledo Zoo announced the birth of a newborn gibbon in a social media post on Thursday. Born Tuesday, "Ming" is the sixth offspring of parents Batu and Hue who are both 31 years old. (WNWO)
- An overturned semi-truck closed down the Ohio Turnpike ramp on I-75 in Wood County. The truck was driven by 59-year-old Charles Boyd of Detroit. The Bowling Green post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating. (WTVG)
- Marc Bickerstaff, 62, was sentenced to at least nine years in jail for robbing the Huntington Bank on Monroe Street in March. Bickerstaff also reportedly robbed two 7 Eleven stores on Saturday on Upton and Lewis. (WTVG)
- The CDC is investigating an outbreak of E. coli in Ohio and Michigan after several cases have been reported. The CDC became involved after the Wood County Health Dept. sent 20 samples to the Ohio Dept. of Health. (WTOL)
- Construction continues on the $7 million development project at the site of the former Woodville Mall in Northwood. Dubbed 'The Enclave Project," the site will be home to residential and commercial properties. (WTOL)

- Shelly Gantka, 45, has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges for the death of her 18-year-old daughter Baili Cowell who was found on August 3 by Toledo Police. Baili's autopsy determined she died from Chronic Neglect. (WTVG)
- Phillip Henry, 38, was sentenced to 7-10 years in prison for shooting and killing 61-year-old Tyrone Gregory in February 2021 in the 3300 block of Stickney Avenue. (WTVG)
