  • TPD have released the body and dash cam footage after officers shot and killed homicide suspect Prince Jones on Friday.
  • The Toledo Correctional Institution held a special graduation ceremony Tuesday for inmates involved in the education program.
  • Smoke alarms saved a family of six from a total loss house fire on Nevada Street Tuesday.

Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. Toledo Police have released the body and dash camera footage for the shooting death of suspect 24-year-old Prince Jones on Friday. Jones was accused of killing Brent Roscoe, 36, and Malinda Moore, 28, at a home on Albion Street on Thursday night. (WTOL)
  2. Michael Belcher, 46, was arrested and charged with homicide by Toledo Police on Tuesday. The victim, 32-year-old Erek Evans, was found shot in the head in an apartment hallway in the 600 block of Locust Avenue around 3 PM on Nov. 9. (WTOL)
  3. The Toledo Correctional Institution held a special graduation ceremony for inmates in the prison's education program on Tuesday. Fourteen men were honored including 35-year-old Benjamin Holliday who intends to pursue a career in engineering. (WTVG)
  4. Toledo Fire and Rescue report a family of six was saved by smoke alarms after their home on Nevada caught fire Sunday morning. The home was declared a total loss and TFRD provided the family with smoke alarms after a washer and dryer initially caught fire in September. (WTVG)
  5. UToledo student Madison Giglio is honoring her friend Maddie Grobmeier, who tragically died after suffering an asthma attack in 2019. Giglio founded Students for H.O.P.E., which recognizes the life-saving efforts of organ donors like her friend Maddie. (WNWO)

  • A Toledo family has been displaced after their home was consumed by a cooking fire in the 200 block of Walbridge Avenue Tuesday evening. (WTVG)
