- A 55-year old Toledo man was killed in a traffic accident on I-75 in Hancock County.
- Toledo Police arrested Justin Allison for the September 10 murder of Charles Marshall on the East Side.
- HAZMAT Units from TFRD, TPD and the Ohio State Highway Patrol participated in an emergency response drill Friday morning.

Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- Robert A. Borer, 55, of Toledo was killed in an accident on I-75 in Hancock County near SR 235 Friday morning. A semi caught fire just before midnight, causing a pileup when another semi crashed into a Mack tanker truck driven by the victim. (WTOL)
- A South Toledo home with children present was shot at around 12:30 PM Thursday. Toledo Police responded to the home on Orchard Street and found the children unharmed after a neighbor contacted the children's mother. (WTOL)
- Justin Allison, 29, was arrested by Toledo Police for the murder of 38-year-old Charles Marshall in the East Side on September 10. TPS officers were able to treat Marshall at the scene and get him to the hospital before he succumbed to his injuries. (WTVG)
- The Toledo Fire and Rescue Special Operations Team, HAZMAT Unit and units from the Toledo Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol participated in an emergency response drill Friday morning. The drill is an annual exercise required by the U.S. government. (WNWO)
- Davis College is holding a FAFSA workshop at its location in the 4 SeaGate building at 433 N. Summit St. The events will be October 25 from 1-2 PM and October 26 from 6-7 PM. (WTVG)
