Here are the top stories today in Toledo:
- Chase STEM Academy on Bassett Street was locked down by Toledo Police on Thursday morning. The lockdown came as there was a "neighborhood issue" that was resolved before students arrived at the school. (13abc Action News)
- Toledo Police responded to an attempted robbery at Value America gas station in the 4400 block of Monroe Street on Thursday morning. No injuries were reported but the suspect has not been arrested. (13abc Action News)
- Several witnesses have testified in the rape trial against Ottawa Hills School employee Ronald "Donnie" Stevens, including lab personnel from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation. The trial is not over, with the Court also hearing from an ex-girlfriend of one of the alleged victims and an investigator with the Lucas County Prosecutors Office. (WTOL)
- Several caregivers, volunteers, and brain injury survivors worked together to craft blankets at the Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center on Central Avenue in Toledo. The blankets help victims hone their fine motor skills and benefit the center. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Former University of Toledo police officer and convicted murderer Jeffrey Hodge is up for his first parole hearing this month. Hodge was convicted of kidnapping and murdering 19-year-old UT nursing student Melissa Herstrum in 1993. (WTOL)
