Here are the top stories in Toledo today:

  1. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reduced Northbound I-75 to one lane Wednesday night. It was discovered there was an "embankment" issue on the north side of the Maumee River bridge and crews are being proactive in the interest of safety and the increased traffic due to the Solheim Cup. (WTOL)
  2. The University of Toledo has announced a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for all students and staff by November 15. If a person is not vaccinated and does not have an approved exemption, they will be tested for the virus weekly. UT has joined the ranks of The Ohio State University, Ohio University, and Miami University (Ohio) in requiring vaccines. (13abc Action News)
  3. Toledo Police responded to a shooting victim in North Toledo on Tuesday around 2:45 AM. Antonio McNeal, 30, was found at the 3300 block of Maple Street with non life-threatening injuries. (WTOL)
  4. The Doobie Brothers concert scheduled for September 5 at the Toledo Zoo will be postponed due to a touring crew member testing positive for COVID. The rescheduled date has not been announced. (13abc Action News)
  5. Native Toledoan Stacy Lewis is serving as assistant captain of the U.S. Solheim Cup team for this year's event at the Inverness Club. The event will feature a celebrity round that includes singer-songwriter Darius Rucker and LPGA Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez. (WNWO NBC 24)
