Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- A team of doctors from the Toledo area is headed to Ukraine to assist with aid and pass out supplies collected in town. Pharmacist Tatyana Barkheimer and Dr. Svitlana Zhukivska are both from Ukraine and have mixed feelings about visiting their home country under these circumstances. (WTVG)
- Local teen Jonah Meyer-Crothers will play for the U.S. Men's Paralympic National team in the soccer World Cup. Jonah is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy after suffering a stroke at birth. (WTVG)
- The Ella P. Stewart Academy for Girls in Toledo is teaching its students about Judge Ketanji Brown-Jackson's nomination to the United States Supreme Court. Students held a mock confirmation hearing, portraying Judge Brown-Jackson as well as other lawmakers in both the Senate and House of Representatives. (WTOL)
- The Donate Life flag has been raised outside of UTMC and the Mulford Library in honor of National Donate Life Month. Last year, UTMC conducted a record 174 kidney transplants, up from 112 the year prior. (WNWO NBC 24)
- The UToledo Rockets will play their spring game Saturday at the Glass Bowl Stadium. Admission and parking will be free and the team features five returning starting players. (WNWO NBC 24)

- D'Angelo Porter has pleaded guilty to aggravated murder charges for a 2020 shooting triple homicide in the Old West End in 2020. Porter was found in Detroit after U.S. Marshals put out a $5,000 reward for information on his whereabouts. (WTOL)
- An inmate died in custody at the Monroe County Jail. The death is currently under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriffs. (WNWO NBC 24)
- Toledo now has new technology to help fight the supply of drugs in the area. Law enforcement will be able to investigate computers and phones via the new Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center. (WTVG)
- The Whitehouse Village Council is exploring measures to save money and jobs that have been met with opposition from the community. Proposals reportedly include repealing a tax credit or raising income or property taxes. (WTVG)
- Mercy Health and Mercy College of Ohio are hosting an event this weekend designed to help pay tuition for medical workers. Many positions such as Nursing Support, Housekeeping, and Dietary/Food Service are available while workers achieve advanced degrees. (WTVG)
