- Antwuan Lawson, 41, was found not guilty Thursday for the murder of 53-year-old William Williams in December 2021. Williams was strangled at Relax Inn on Telegraph and Sara Bowlus-Houck faces a trial for the murder on February 14. (WTOL)
- HAZMAT crews responded to Matzinger Road Friday morning after 500 gallons of sulfuric acid spilled at Perstorp Polyols Inc. during a transfer of the chemical into a leaky tank. Toledo Fire and Rescue reports no injuries after containing the substance before it could flow into the Ottawa River. (WTVG)
- The Wood County District Public Library's "Paws for Reading Program" features Benny the therapy dog as an audience for children learning to read. Appointments can be made online to help develop reading, speaking, and interaction with therapy animals. (WNWO)
- Stellantis, the Lucas County Department of Planning and Development and OhioMeansJobs Lucas County are hosting a hiring event at the Lucas County Shared Services Building on W. Sylvania Avenue February 10 from 10 AM - 2 PM. (WTVG)
- UPDATE: Spencerville Mayor Phil Briggs resigned Thursday after a request from the Spencerville Village Council. Briggs is accused of taping underage girls undressing and has been charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor. (WTOL)
