🌱 Wood County Teen Dies In Crash + Family Saved In Franklin Ave. Fire

Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- Toledo Fire and Rescue saved four children, three adults, and a dog from a house fire on Franklin Avenue Friday morning. The fire started after a vacant house next door caught fire and it spread to the occupied home. (WTOL)
- The Toledo Humane Society is investigating a case of animal cruelty after a dog named Willow was found dead near Willys Complex Pool. (WTOL)
- Cole Genson, 16, was killed in a crash at the intersection of Lemoyne Road and Rees Road in Wood County around 3 p.m. Friday. The sheriff's office reported Genson was on a 1981 motorbike and struck an SUV. (WTVG)
- John Tooson, 32, survived shooting himself in a June 18 standoff with Toledo Police. Tooson has been extradited to Kentucky for the murder of sisters Selina Easter, 20, and Summer Algarakhuly, 18. (WTVG)
- Toledo Police have partnered with the Ohio Traffic Safety Office and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities to begin communicating with deaf residents via cards and a QR code app. (WNWO)
