  • Maumee man Dalton Cleghorn is one of 25 finalists in the 2022 USA Mullet Championships.

  1. An 84-year-old woman died following a car crash in which the Honda Accord she was driving crossed the center line and struck a Freightliner semi-tractor with attached trailer on U.S. Route 6 near Sand Ridge Road in Wood County. The 24-year-old Maumee driver of the impacted vehicle was uninjured in the crash. (WTVG)
  2. Registration is now open for Zia Cooke's Cookie's Lil Campers co-ed basketball camp for those aged 6-11. The event will occur at Rogers High School on McTigue Drive on October 15. (WTVG)
  3. The University of Toledo and the Office of Multicultural Student Success are celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month. The event started in the Student Union and focuses on the history and contributions from the community. (WTOL)
  4. The Old West End Autumn Market is this weekend from 10 AM - 5 AM and features over 50 vendors with food trucks and live music. More than 20 homes will be hosting garage sales and the event will be headquartered in the Agnes Reynolds Jackson Arboretum at 2501 Robinwood Ave. (WNWO NBC 24)
  5. Maumee man Dalton Cleghorn is one of 25 finalists in the 2022 USA Mullet Championships. Mr. Cleghorn first began growing his hair to honor a friend diagnosed with lymphoma. (WTOL)

  • The East Toledo Family Center, Metroparks Toledo, Dave's Running and Toledo Roadrunners Club are holding the 2nd annual Nickel Dash 5K on October 16, the only 5K hosted in the East Side. (WTVG)
  • One person was shot outside the Whitmer High School football stadium, briefly pausing the game between Whitmer and Central Catholic. (WTOL)
