“The purchase of a dog license is extremely important in providing for the care of lost and abandoned animals at the County’s Animal Control Facility,” said County Executive Ilene Shapiro in a news release. “If your dog is ever lost and taken to the facility, a dog license will quickly identify you as the owner, and the income we receive from license sales is used to feed and provide medical care to your dog.”
