Cleveland Ambassadors to play home opener at CVCA High School
High-level women's soccer comes to the Cleveland area for the summer of 2016

Cleveland Ambassadors will play its home opener in the Women's Premier Soccer League against Michigan Chill SC this Sunday, June 12 at 3:00pm at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. The team enters the weekend of play with a 3-0 record in its inaugural season.
Cleveland Ambassadors will host six home games throughout the summer, hosted at CVCA’s High School Stadium. A full schedule of games can be found on the team website, ac.ambassadorsfootball.org/schedule.
The team is comprised predominantly of home-grown players whose soccer careers began and developed in northeast Ohio. Products of the region's top youth soccer clubs will represent Cleveland in the Great Lakes division of the WPSL league.

The WPSL is the highest level women's amateur league in North America, and it has served as a developmental league for many of the US National Team's top players. Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Brandi Chastain and Julie Foudy are among the notable alumni of the WPSL. Cleveland Ambassadors is one of the over 100 teams competing in the WPSL this season.
