DNC Agenda: President Barack Obama Accepts Nomination Thursday
The full schedule is being kept quiet, but big names are expected to speak and perform.

Unlike previous days of the convention, the Democratic National Convention is keeping Thursday nightβs schedule quiet. TheΒ conventionβs websiteΒ only lists the morning and afternoon caucus sessions, but other media sources report that acclaimed actresses and other entertainers will be in attendance before the president officially accepts the nomination.Β
CNN reportsΒ that President Barack Obamaβs speech will focus heavily on the economy. The keynote speakers this week have been during the 10 to 11 p.m. hour.Β
So who else is speaking?Β The Daily Beast has a list of things to watchΒ at tonightβs ceremony, including speeches from former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and Vice President Joe Biden.Β CNN reportsΒ that actresses Scarlett Johansson and Kerry Washington are expected to attend, andPop & Hiss, the L.A. Times Music Blog, reportsΒ that a number of musicians could be performing, including the Foo Fighters and Mary J. Blige. The conventionΒ just Tweeted a photoΒ of James Taylor doing his sound check for tonight, saying, βWe are so excited for all of the musicians tonight,β so you may want to follow@DemConvention on TwitterΒ for extra updates throughout the day.
