Why Go: It's the city's biggest annual summer celebration. Four days of food, fun, live music and more. Join the cornhole tournament. See the charity car cruise on Saturday. Live music includes Jersey on Thursday and Flashback on Friday. Local bands perform all day Saturday and the winners of Solon's Got Talent take the Main Stage. Run Avril Run headlines the event on Sunday. The Grand Parade and Fireworks on Sunday close the event.
Pricing: Free admission and open to the public.
2. Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom
Where/When: Geauga Lake, 1100 Squires Rd., Aurora
Open daily thru August 14, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: It's been really hot outside and this is the closest and largest water park in the area. Enjoy water slides, beach, wave machine, tube rides, splash areas for kids and additional water activities. Park has several food and beverage stands to choose from.
Pricing: One day tickets for those 48" and taller is $29.99, those under 48" and seniors are $14.99, and after 4 p.m. the Starlight price for those 48" and taller is only $17.99. Parking is $7 per vehicle.

4. Friends of the Solon Library Book Sale

Why Go: This is a 50 cent sale. Pick from books, CD's, DVD's and other special items. Find a great deal on something you like and help your local library at the same time.

5. Live Music at Panini's: Breakfast Club
Where/When: Panini's Bar & Grill, 8870 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg.

Why Go: Have a bite to eat and a beverage of your choice while you enjoy the 1980s sounds of the band, Breakfast Club. This Cleveland-based cover band features popular guitarist Billy Morris. The Saturday food special is Chicken or Beef Gyros. Also catch the night's sporting events on multiple TVs throughout the building.

6. The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center: Broadway Classics
Where/When: Blossom Music Center, 1145 W. Steels Corners Rd., Cuyahoga Falls.

Why Go: Conductor Robert Porco leads the Cleveland Orchestra in an evening of music from Broadway's Great American Songbook. Hear standards like I Got Rhythm by Gershwin, Begin the Beguine by Cole Porter, Over the Rainbow by Harold Arlen and more. Vocalists Lisa Vroman, Debbie Gravitte and Doug LaBrecque join the Blossom Festival Chrous for this night of tunes.
