New, Different-Colored Twinsburg Police Cruiser Hits Streets

of nine new Ford police vehicles based on the Ford Explorer — one is now road ready and can be spotted around town.

The Twinsburg Fire Department shared a picture of the new dark blue and white color-scheme cruisers Friday on Facebook. 

Police Chief Chris Noga said the department plans to phase out its 10 Dodge Charges currently in use. Noga said those cars are suffering some "wear and tear."

These Ford Police Interceptors are built using the Explorer body and the Taurus platform, and are both all-wheel drive and pursuit-rated.
