'Rockin' Author to Speak at Twinsburg Library

Author Deanna Adams will discuss her new book on rock'n'roll on Jan. 28

Author Deanna Adams will be speaking about her new book at the on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. 

Adams will discuss her book Rock n’ Roll and the Cleveland Connection.

She is a freelance writer, award-winning essayist, writing instructor, and speaker, whose articles and essays have been published in a variety of newspapers and magazines including Ohio Magazine, Writers' Digest, Northern Ohio Live, Soho Magazine, Lake County Business Journal, Today’s Family, and other publications.

She also contributed an article on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum for the The American Midwest: An Interpretive Encyclopedia.

Her first book, Rock ‘n’ Roll and the Cleveland Connection by Kent State University Press, was a finalist for the 2003 Association for Recorded Sound Collections Award for excellence in research, and a 2003 finalist for the Ohioana Book Award for nonfiction.

Her other books include Confessions of a Not-So-Good Catholic Girl, a collection of true stories about growing up a baby boomer in the Midwest, and Images of America: Cleveland's Rock and Roll Roots.

Adams is an instructor at Lakeland Community College, and director of the Western Reserve Writers' Conference, and the Women Writers’ Winter Retreat.
