Summit County Judicial Candidates Night is Tuesday

Citizens for Nonpartisan Politics (CNP) and the Stow-Munroe Falls Community Foundation (SMFCF) are co-sponsoring two Candidates’ Nights, Oct. 9 and 23, for races of local importance.

Both nights will be held at Silver Springs Lodge from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Program moderators Bruce Redmon and Debbie Kilgore Eichler are not members of either organization, but were selected because of their backgrounds and active community involvement.

Judicial candidates invited include: (Summit County Judicial races are nonpartisan.)

• 9^th District Court of Appeals: Clair E. Dickinson and Jennifer Hensal
• Court of Common Pleas: Kathryn Michael and Tammy O’Brien
• Court of Common Pleas: Paul Gallagher and Dave Lombardi
• Court of Common Pleas: John Fickes and Amy Corrigall Jones
• Court of Common Pleas: Eddie Sipplen and Thomas Teodosio
• Probate Court: Alison McCarty and Elinore Marsh Stormer

Judicial candidates will be allotted two minutes to present their backgrounds and qualifications, followed by a timed question-and-answer period.

If a candidate is unable to attend, he/she may send a representative who will be introduced but will not be permitted to speak. Members of the CNP and SMFCF governmental affairs committees developed the questions that the moderators will ask.  

The candidates have not received the questions prior to Candidates’ Night.
