Twinsburg High School grad joins congressional staff

Riley Peeden, who graduated from Twinsburg High School in 2022, has joined the staff of U.S. Rep. David Joyce in Washington, D.C.

Peeden started as an intern in May and was hired as a Press Liaison in June.

She graduated in May from Ohio University with degrees in Journalism and Political Science. Peeden’s resume includes experience in Washington, D.C.

In the summer of 2025, Peeden was a press intern in the office of U.S. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York.

Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication sponsors a program in Washington, D.C. that combines classroom instruction, networking, and internships. During fall semester of 2024, Peeden completed an internship with Vision360 Partners, a strategic communications firm in Washington, D.C.
