Henderson Sr. has been scheduled in Vinton County Common Pleas Court for Wednesday, Oct. 21, after flooding across Vinton County forced a previous date to be postponed. Henderson faces multiple serious charges and remains under a high bond, with strict orders to avoid contact with the alleged victims.
3. Vinton County Trunk or Treat (Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026) (thetelegramnews.com) — Families in and around Vinton can look forward to the free Vinton County Trunk or Treat at the fairgrounds in McArthur on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 6–7:30 p.m. Kids can walk through decorated trunks for candy, while local groups and businesses are encouraged to host displays and help create a safe, family-friendly Halloween experience.
4. Hope Methodist Church Celebration of Hope to be held on Sunday, Oct. 25 (thetelegramnews.com) — Neighbors in Vinton County are being included in a Celebration of Hope concert at Hope Methodist Church in Wellston on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m., where offerings will support local flood victims in Jackson and Vinton counties. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food for Wellston's pantry while enjoying an evening of live Christian music.
