24 Westlake Students Get Scholarships From PTAs

The Westlake Council of PTAs announced the recipients of its annual scholarship awards.

WESTLAKE, OH — Twenty-four graduating Westlake High School seniors received scholarships through the Westlake Council of PTAs. Each student received a $1,000 award from an individual PTA unit. A total of $24,000 in scholarships were awarded.

The students were selected for their academic success as well as their community and school involvement. The Westlake Council of PTAs said it examined a student's participation in athletics, music, clubs, service, and employment.

  • Katarina Jamsek,
  • Darin O’Meara, and Shadi Zogheib (each a General winner),
  • Emily Schordock (Arts),
  • Jane Fitz (Challenge),
  • Elizabeth Massien (STEM/Technology),
  • and Michael Altman (Vocational);
