• Westlake officials weigh police station renovation costing up to $2.7 million (cleveland.com) — Westlake officials are moving ahead with plans to renovate the city's more than 30-year-old police station, a project that could cost up to $2.7 million and reshape local dispatch operations. After severe flooding damage earlier this year, council approved architectural fees and will meet Sept. 28 to debate renovation scope, possible relocation of Westcom fire dispatch, and technology upgrades affecting daily public safety services.
   

• Soccer Preview: Olmsted Falls Stays Home Again to Host Westlake (maxpreps.com) — Westlake soccer fans can see the Demons travel to Olmsted Falls for a 7 p.m. matchup Monday, looking to tighten a defense allowing nearly three goals a game. Despite a tough 7-1 loss to Brecksville-Broadview Heights, Westlake has improved since an early losing streak and will try to spoil Olmsted Falls' strong home form.
