Westlake Animal Hospital Just Gets Better!

Wouldn’t you want to know if your veterinarian was one of a very small group of specialists known as Diplomates who had earned this distinctive title from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners?  In fact if your veterinarian is a Diplomate, wouldn’t you want to know that  he or she is one of only 900 ABVP Diplomates in the United States (8 in Ohio / 2 north of Columbus) and abroad?

Westlake Animal Hospital is extremely proud and excited to announce that Dr. David Love has recently been recertified (for the fourth time) as a Diplomate, and Dr. Michael Nappier has been certified for the first time.  Each certification is good for ten years.  The testing required to achieve this honor is a long and difficult process of additional studies and examination but the result is to become a board certified specialist recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). This accomplishment takes a minimum of three years to complete and the motivation behind it is -- very simply – excellence and vision.

Those who become ABVP Diplomates have proven knowledge and expertise above and beyond that required to practice veterinary medicine. They have also earned the privilege to specialize in the treatment of their preferred category of animals.  Most veterinarians performing broad-based clinical practice are not board certified. The ABVP board-certified veterinarian has demonstrated he or she is capable of providing a level of clinical practice that is clearly superior to the norm of the profession.

How does this affect Westlake Animal Hospital’s clients and patients?   They know their animals are receiving expert treatment because their veterinarians feel a strong commitment to providing the best possible care.

Westlake Animal Hospital is located at 27370 Center Ridge Road in Westlake (across from Porter Public Library, next to the Westlake Post Office).  And they are VERY proud of their doctors.
