Art Program Recognizes Westlake High Students
The Cleveland Clinic eXpressions Art Program awarded ribbons (and gift cards) to a group of Westlake High students.
WESTLAKE, OH — A group of Westlake High students earned ribbons in the Cleveland Clinic eXpressions Art Program this year.
Westlake High seniors Lili Busic and Henyah Dardir, junior Lexie Floyd, and sophomore Macy Sinreich all garnered recognition from the Art Program.
Lexie and Lili both earned Blue Ribbons, Macy earned a Red Ribbon, and Henyah took home a White Ribbon. The students were competing against 1,700 art, language, and math projects from 61 schools.

Blue Ribbon winners receive a $100 gift card, Red Ribbon winners get a $75 gift card, and White Ribbon winners get a $50 gift card. Each teacher of an award-winning student also gets a $100 educational grant. Westlake teacher Kelly Atkinson supported the high school students.

The eXpressions Art Program is an interdisciplinary program that engages high schools with the world of scientific research using art. Students produce their own creative interpretation of research conducted by Cleveland Clinic science interns.
Work from winning students will be featured online and in an annual publication, as well as in the eXpressions eXhibition.
