WESTLAKE, OH — A badly damaged pickup truck was stopped by police near the train tracks on Dover Center Road. The driver could not explain where he'd been or how he ended up in Westlake, according to police.
A concerned resident called police at 1:30 a.m. and said there was a reckless driver on I-90 at Columbia. The caller said the driver might be drunk, according to police records.

The man appeared intoxicated, police said, so he was field tested. He was then taken into custody on suspicion of operating a vehicle impaired. He refused to take a breath test and his license was immediately suspended.
Surrounding police departments were told there had been a possible accident and the driver had left the scene, but it's still unclear what the Ford hit.
