Battle of the Bands, Folk Music and More
Here are five things you don't want to miss today!
1) Six young local bands will be battling it out for some studio time and the chance to sell a song on iTunes at the at today. Dempsey Hall, Krych Sisters, Lumpia, The Sludge, Texting While Driving and The Triptyx (all made up of musicians between 12 and 18) will all take the stage between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The concert will be outside, weather permitting, so bring a chair!
2) The Ice Cream King by Steve Metzger is this week's book at 's Friday Morning Storytime. In the book, Teddy Jones visits the Thrill Chill Ice Cream Shop and starts on a magical adventure. Storytime starts at 10:30 a.m. Call 440-250-9233 for questions.
3) It's going to be a hot, wet day. The National Weather Service is forecasting rain and thunderstorms with a high near 90 degrees. Tonight brings a chance more rain and thunderstorms before 1 a.m.

4) Rango, the animated Western movie starring Johnny Depp as a chameleon, is showing at 2 p.m. . The movie is free, so bring the whole gang.
5) Jim Gill and Cathy Miller will be playing a mix of acoustic, folk and original songs tonight from 6-8:30 p.m. on the Sunset Stage at . Gill is a singer/songwriter who has played with local stars like Michael Stanley, Alex Bevan, Carlos Jones and Michael Doc Dreyfuss. He'll be accompanied tonight by Miller on fiddle.
