A lady stopped in the Antque Corner last November. She must have been a Patch reader because she seemed to know me, or at least something about me. After a short political chat, which I am proud to say I handled well for once, she inquired about uphostering. She had a chair she was considering getting re-upholstered she said. I showed her our fabric books. She found a fabric she liked. She asked to take the book home to see how the sample would look on the chair. I told her OK. She seemed like such a fine upstanding citizen but she never brought it back. Should I ask for a deposit from now on?
