Cocaine, Snorting Straws Found On Woman In Westlake Parking Lot

WESTLAKE, OH — An unconscious woman was found in the parking lot of the Westfield Apartments on Detroit Road on Thursday. Police said they found cocaine and straws with cocaine residue in the woman's possession.

Callers reported that there was a possibly overdosing woman in the apartment complex parking lot at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. When officers arrived, they learned that the driver had been discovered by a passerby.

The woman, a 29-year-old Westlake resident, said she had been working the night shift and had fallen asleep in her car. She was checked out by paramedics but declined medical attention.

Investigators then found the small bag of cocaine and cut snorting straws with residue in the woman's possession. The 29-year-old was then arrested and taken into custody.

Police said the woman is being charged with felony possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.
