Crocker Park Welcomes Two New Upscale Retailers

Much-anticipated specialty shops will give new apparel options to women.

recently announced some welcome news regarding two new upscale tenants who will soon join the lineup of shops, both of which are sure to elicit smiles from women across the board: BCBG Max Azria and Anthropologie.

Standing for “bon chic, bon genre,” or “good style, good attitude” in French, BCBG is a women’s clothing store that offers a line of apparel that’s on the cutting edge of fashion trends. BCBG Max Azria focuses on mod threads for style-conscious ladies who want to ensure that their styles are up-to-the-minute, directly off the runways. French designer Max Azria founded BCBG in 1989, and it has since become a force to be reckoned with in the women’s fashion industry.

“We’re having fun with this and building on the excitement around these two tenants,” said Robert Stark, developer, owner and operator of the Crocker Park complex.

BCBG Max Azria will be located between and apparel stores on Main Street. It’s slated to open in early summer.

“BCBG is truly one of the hottest names in women’s fashion,” Stark said. “(It has) a cult-like following that unlike any other in the industry.”

Popular women’s apparel and accessories outlet Anthropologie, which also sells home goods, décor and gift items, will take up residence in the old Z-Gallerie spot across from . The building will be completely remodeled on the inside to reflect Anthropologie’s signature shabby-chic style.

Owned by retail management company Urban Outfitters Inc., Anthropologie is the sister store of Crocker Park’s Urban Outfitters, which is located just a minute’s walk away down Main Street. Anthropologie currently operates more than 130 stores in the United States. The Crocker Park location is set to open this summer.

“Anthropologie was always in our site plan at Crocker Park,” Stark said.
