Dancing Shoplifter Wanted By Westlake Police
A shoplifter danced in the employee section of a convenience store cooler before stealing four cases of energy drinks.
WESTLAKE, OH — Police are asking the public for help identifying a man that danced around a Westlake convenience store before stealing four cases of energy drinks. The man waltzed off with nearly $300 of merchandise, police said.
The theft happened at about 5 p.m. on April 30. Staff at a convenience store at the corner of Columbia and Center Ridge roads contacted police and said they had been hit by a shoplifter.
According to police, the suspect got into the employee cooler section, danced around in celebration, and then gathered four cases of energy drinks. The man struggled to open the door but eventually escaped the convenience store without paying.

Investigators said the man left in an older model white Jeep Cherokee. The suspect is a white man with a brown or black beard. If anyone knows the suspect or has information on the incidents, they are asked to contact the Westlake Police Department at the non-emergency number of 440-871-3311. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
