The brand new class will help Westlake High students prepare for their next step in education.

From Westlake Schools: Scott Kutz, Westlake High School Technology & Engineering teacher, has announced that students at Westlake High School will have the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school.
Under the newly formed articulation agreement between New England Institute of Technology in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and Westlake High School in Westlake, OH, students taking courses in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems - Drone Technology program at Westlake High School may earn college credit through the Advanced Tech Program at the college.
“By transferring credits, students may receive advanced standing and reduce the costs of tuition,” said Tara Rugg, Communications Coordinator at New England Institute of Technology. “Earning college credit while in high school is an outstanding opportunity for students planning to pursue careers in the technical fields.”
