Drunken Man Was Jumping Into Traffic In Westlake: Police

Police said the man was trying to wave at traffic at an intersection.

WESTLAKE, OH — Callers reported that a man was jumping into traffic, in front of cars, on Westwood, near Canterbury. When officers arrived, they found a man that was barely able to stand on his own.

Reports of an intoxicated man jumping into traffic began coming in at about 7:45 p.m. on April 12. When officers arrived, a 27-year-old man was seen struggling to stand near the intersection. Police took the man into custody.

Investigators learned the man had been in an argument with a loved one and began drinking. He then tried to wave his hands at passing vehicles.

Police said they charged the man with disorderly conduct and took him to Westlake jail.
