Emergency Alerts Available For Westlake Residents
Residents are encouraged to sign-up for text alerts so the city can communicate with them in a crisis.

WESTLAKE, OH — Westlake Police and Westlake Schools are reminding parents and residents to sign-up for emergency text alerts to stay in the loop in the event of a crisis. To sign-up for the system, text 44145 to 888777.
"All Westlake citizens and those who work or spend time regularly in the city can benefit from receiving important community updates and breaking alerts through this texting service," the city said on Facebook.
The text alert system has previously been used to tell the community police phone lines are down, warn drivers that an intersection is shut down (most recently for the Detroit-Cahoon crash), and more.
