Student Mini-Grants for Grades K – 8!

The Westlake Education Foundation (WEF) was founded in 1987 as a community trust to meet the needs of education beyond the scope of traditionally funded programs.  In support of its mission, the WEF is offering Student Mini-Grants for Westlake City School District students, grades Kindergarten through 8th.  For the 2011-2012 school year, the WEF has allocated $2,500 for the purpose of funding these grants with no one individual grant exceeding $250 per applicant. Student Mini-Grants will be awarded for academically based programs including summer camps offered by museums, science centers, libraries, schools and universities such as art camps, science camps, leadership conferences and the like.

If your child is interested in being considered for a WEF Student Mini-Grant, please pick-up an application package at your school office or on the website at www.WestlakeEducationFoundation.org. Applications are due March 30, 2012. Questions?  E-mail president@WestlakeEducationFoundation.org .
