The Dollar$ for Scholars event helps raise money to give 10 $1,000 scholarships to graduating Westlake High School seniors.

WESTLAKE, OH - The Westlake Council of PTAs recently put on its Dollar$ for Scholars (DFS) event. The event was held at Westlake High School and helps raise money for graduating Westlake High School seniors.
The goal of the event is to award ten $1,000 scholarships to students. The Council says that more than 600 people attended the event.
The Westlake Council started awarding scholarships to students in 1968 to Westlake High School Seniors. The scholarships are awarded for academic pursuits, as well as for the arts, STEM, and a life challege. Last May, the Westlake Council of PTAs and its member PTA units awarded a total of $21,000 in scholarships to graduating Westlake High School seniors.
