Fights Break Out At Crocker Park, On Columbia Road

Westlake Police said they had to deal with the aftermath of two brawls this month, including a fight that spilled into the street.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police dealt with two reported brawls in the span of four days in Westlake. One of the fights allegedly happened outside of the Gap store at Crocker Park. The other happened in the middle of Columbia Road.

On October 7, at about 4:40 p.m., callers reported seeing a group of men attack another man outside the Gap. The group of men ran from the scene, but were located by police. The alleged victim was also tracked down by officers.

The stories given by both parties did not match, police said. The group of men were being a bit loud in the Apple Store, according to interviews, and the victim confronted them about their use of foul language. The group took offense and things escalated. The reported victim decided to leave the store.
