
Westlake resident George Arnold Heinemann, who died April 22 at the age of 72, was a longtime NASCAR fan and devoted family man.
Heinemann worked at Brookside Meats and Better Meats for 33 years as a warehouse and delivery person. He was born February 3, 1940 in Cleveland and grew up in Avon Lake then moved back to Cleveland where he graduated from West Tech High School.
He was the beloved husband of Vicki (nee Yuhasz); dear stepfather of Michael Kappel, Kathie Davies and Matt Kappel; grandpa of Amy, Jason, Joe, Patrick, Boo, Evie, Alec, Lauren, Amber and Melissa; great-grandfather of Emerie, Oliver and Michelle; dear friend of Jim, Joe and Bev; and cousin of many.

He married Vicki in 1992 in Westlake. He loved NASCAR and driving, and enjoyed many trips to Ft. Myers Beach in Florida. He also loved his pets Doodles, Dandy and Toto.Â

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lakewood Park Cemetery 22025 Detroit Rd., Rocky River. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Busch Funeral Home, 21369 Center Ridge Rd. in Fairview Park.
