Get Out: Football, Live Music, Block Party and More!
This week has lots of fun events going on!
Summer’s not quite over yet but the kids are back in school and suddenly the days are going a lot slower (for the kids too). No fear, we still have a list of things to get you outdoors and enjoying the last couple weeks of warm weather! You’re still in that going-out mode and we know it! So read on to learn about some events that will combat the end of summer slump.
MOVIES IN THE PARK: BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S
Where/When: / Thursday, 9 p.m.

Why go: Sounds like a romantic date! Come see this 1960s movie outside at . This is the last movie they’ll be showing in their “Movies in the Park” series, so if you haven’t been able to make it, this is your last chance! And who doesn’t love Audrey Hepburn?

Where/When: North Ridgeville High School/ Friday 7:30-9:30
Why go: Ah, the beginning of fall. No better way to get into autumn gear than a football game! This will be the first varsity match since school started. Demon pride will be at a high! Come support the Westlake Demons as they take on the North Ridgeville Rangers this Friday. And always puts on a great halftime show.
MUSIC IN THE PARK: BLUES AND ROCK
Where/When: / Friday (Blues/Jazz) and Saturday (Rock/Dance) 6-8:30 p.m. both nights
Why go: On Friday, “Peggy and Brad” will be performing. Peggy has a soulful voice and Brad plays guitar. Together they give off a bluesy vibe. Check out clips on their website— the duo is definitely worth seeing! On Saturday, Fabulous Voices will be performing, a “rockin’ dance band.” If you’re looking for a fun Saturday night, Crocker is the place to be!
TEEN MOVIE AT THE LIBRARY: PROM
Where/When: / Tuesday 6:30-8:30
Why go: Disney’s movie “Prom” staring Aimee Teagarden will be a fun break for the kids in their first week of classes. Attendees must be between the grades of six and 12. Pick up some books and CDs while you’re there!
Where/When: / Saturday 1-4 p.m. (rain date Sunday 1-4 p.m.)
Why go: The church’s website declares, “Free food, games, bounce house, face painting, corn hole, live music, door prizes, & fun for everyone!” Invite your friends; it’s for all of Westlake! There will also be the Bicentennial Bake Off, with the winners announced at 2 p.m. Come socialize, enjoy the entertainment, and grab some food. Celebrate the end of summer while it’s still warm out!
