Why Go: Enjoy a light-hearted murder mystery set in 1931 Connecticut, written by Ed Dixon and based on “The Circular Staircase” by Mary Roberts Rinehart. Try to catch the clues and find out “whodunit” as you laugh your way through slapstick humor, storytelling, music and the impressive vocals of the cast. Call the box office at 440-331-0403 to make reservations, as tickets will quickly be sold out. The production is directed by Ron Newell and the Music Director is Connie Baltitas.

When/Where: Lakewood Public Library Madison Branch, 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
Why Go: Give your kids an important tool for early education – a desire to read! Your kids will explore computer games designed to educate, entertain and engage. Also, kids will be introduced to TumbleBooks, which are digitally designed to read like a book but also have sound and animation to spark interest and content comprehension with an entertaining font. The program is for kids under six, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Where/When: The Great Lakes Science Center at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. daily.
Why Go: Experience the forceful destruction of tornadoes and what they can do as they rip through towns and countrysides. Follow a camera crew, filmmaker Shawn Casey and the research team of VORTEX 2 as they take on high winds and flying debris to study the center of the tornado, a feat never before accomplished outside of Hollywood film sets.

Where/When: Avon United Methodist Church, Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy homemade soup, baked goods and hot coffee as you browse through the treasures at the Avon United Methodist Church’s annual Spring Rummage Sale. Snag a deal on some new (to you) furniture, home décor items, clothing, toys and more. Find a cast-off treasure or enjoy the refreshments and community interaction. Donations of items have been brought in from several families and there’s something for everyone to find.

Where/When: Beck Center for the Arts, Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Why Go: Attend a series of workshops to participate in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s 2011 Parade extravaganza. “Parade the Circle.” workshop participants will use their creative skills to create costumes, head sculptures and body sculptures from completely recycled materials. The entire family can participate, but children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
Price: $26 per person, $6 of this cost goes toward parade registration
