Gun Fired At Westlake Hotel, No One Hurt

Police said a gun was fired inside the Red Roof Inn in Westlake. Police have yet to file charges in the case.

WESTLAKE, OH — A gun was fired at the Red Roof Inn in Westlake on May 13, police announced. Investigators are reviewing evidence collected from the hotel.

An employee at the hotel called police at 8 a.m., saying they heard a gunshot. Officers found no one injured inside the hotel. However, police did find evidence of a single gunshot.

Several people staying at the hotel were questioned by police. Investigators then searched one of the rooms and collected evidence.

Police then contacted local hospitals to see if anyone had arrived with a gunshot wound. Medical officials said there was no one matching that description. There is no evidence anyone was hurt by the gunshot.

Police said they are reviewing evidence collected from the hotel and statements taken from guests and staff. No charges have yet been filed.
