Help ID Purse Snatchers Who Robbed Woman In Crocker Park
Police are asking the public for help locating two men that stole a woman's purse outside Zoup in Westlake.
WESTLAKE, OH — A pair of purse snatchers are being sought by Westlake police after an incident at Crocker Park on Friday night. The public is being asked to help identify the suspects.
At about 7:40 p.m. on Friday, two men approached a woman outside Zoup! at The Promenade. One of the men began asking the woman questions and the other man grabbed her purse and pulled it away from her.
The two men then ran to a black Honda CR-V. Police said the car appeared to be waiting for the men. A third man was driving the car, police said.

Officers actually found the getaway car on I-90 and tried to stop the vehicle. The driver wouldn't pull over and officers chased the car for about two minutes. Eventually the chase was called off to protect other cars.
Surveillance footage from inside Zoup! is being released to the public. There was no footage of the purse snatching, which happened outside the restaurant. Investigators are hoping someone will be able to identify the two men in the video.

The first suspect, who talked to the woman before the purse snatching, was a young teen. He was wearing a red Under Armor hoodie and black shorts. His partner appeared to be an older teenager wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
