Historical Society Sale Raises Funds For Preservation Efforts

Shoppers roamed the front yard of Clague House Museum Saturday morning, picking out their favorite antique, vintage and donated items, all to raise funds for the Westlake Historical Society. Rainy weather postponed the sale from May 14 and while clouds gathered Saturday morning, the weather held out.

"This is like a really great, really big ," said Karen Bennett of Avon, holidng an armful of housewares. "I would definitely come back."

Lysa Stanton, president of the Westlake Historical Society, said the organization will use the funds raised for various expenses like acid-free paper, utilities and electronics.
