How To Get Rid Of Christmas Trees In Westlake
Live and artificial trees can be thrown out...or turned into feed for animals. The choice is yours.

WESTLAKE, OH — The city of Westlake will again help residents dispose of both their live and artificial Christmas trees.
Residents with live trees can leave their Canaan firs and Norwegian spruces (or whatever type of tree) on their tree lawn, next to their rubbish. All ornaments, lights, garland, strands, and other decorations need to be stripped from the tree and placed in their own trash bags.
Artificial tree disposal is a little more complicated. The fake trees will need to be broken down into their parts. Those parts will be collected with the regular trash.

For residents that want an alternative Christmas tree disposal option, Cuyahoga County offers options for turning a tree into feed for local farm animals. All decorations have to be stripped from trees before they're donated.

On the west side, drop off trees at Stearns Homestead, 6975 Ridge Road in Parma (place undecorated trees in the front pasture along the fence)," the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District said.
