Intoxicated Man Drank Vodka In Westlake Bathroom, Smashed Bottle
Police said they arrested the same man twice in two days — once for stealing vodka from a gas station and once for passing out in a bathroom

WESTLAKE, OH — Police had to arrest the same 47-year-old man for public intoxication on two consecutive days in February.
At 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 8, a gas station clerk on Crocker and Clemens roads called police to complain about a customer. The clerk said the man had broken a bottle of alcohol and then smuggled a second bottle of alcohol into the men's room. The man drank the alcohol in the bathroom and then left the store without paying for anything.
Officers found the man at the gas station (he had walked back inside). The man was holding a third bottle of vodka, according to police, and appeared to be walking back into the bathroom when he was confronted.

The man, a 47-year-old from Avon Lake, admitted to drinking vodka in the bathroom, police said. He was then placed into custody for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and theft. The man was four and a half times over the legal limit (if he had been driving), so he was taking to the hospital for observation.

The next day, on Feb. 9, callers reported that a man had passed out in the bathroom of a restaurant at Crocker Park. Officers arrived and discovered it was the same Avon Lake man. He was again taken into custody, police said.
