Intoxicated Woman Fights With Westlake Police

The woman had to be restrained in her cell, and her boots and jacket had to be taken away, police said.

WESTLAKE, OH — An intoxicated woman, walking haphazardly on Center Ridge Road, caught police attention at 1 a.m. The woman got into an argument with officers, telling them she could walk in the street if she wanted.

The woman was spotted on Center Ridge, walking in the middle of the road. The woman appeared to be highly intoxicated, police said.

When confronted by police, the woman said she had been raised in Westlake. That meant, to her at least, that she could walk in the middle of the road if she wanted.

While talking with police, the woman was staggering around. She claimed it was because she had taken cold medicine. That didn't stop police from arresting her.

The woman, who now lives in Rocky River, was taken to Westlake Jail where she became belligerent, according to officers. The woman had to be physically restrained, and her jacket and boots were removed.

The woman was placed into a cell and restrained. She has been charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
