Lakewood Cyclist Pedals Onto I-90, Fights With Police
Callers said the woman was riding along I-90 east in Westlake at 6:40 a.m. She reportedly was not eager to stop her highway bike ride.

WESTLAKE, OH — A Lakewood woman was seen cycling on I-90 east, near Clague Road, on June 30. Callers reported seeing the woman ride in traffic at about 6:40 a.m.
Westlake Police were dispatched and found the cyclist quickly. They tried to wave the woman over, but the cyclist reportedly refused to stop pedaling, eventually riding up the Detroit Road exit ramp.
Police managed to finally stop the woman at the top of the ramp, but she was uncooperative and kept trying to ride her bicycle into traffic. Officers had to physically restrain the woman to stop her from cycling back onto I-90.
