'Large Amount' Of Marijuana Found During Westlake Traffic Stop
Police said they stopped a car for an equipment problem, but the three people in the vehicle were acting "extremely nervous."
WESTLAKE, OH — A large amount of marijuana and a loaded handgun were found inside a car stopped by Westlake Police last week. Three people were inside the vehicle and all were arrested and have been charged with felony drug trafficking.
Police said they stopped a car on I-90, at the Crocker Road exit, for an equipment problem. The three people inside the car were extremely nervous when speaking with officers.
While being questioned, one of the people in the car said there was a loaded handgun in the vehicle. None of the three people in the vehicle had a concealed handgun permit. Officers found a 9mm semi-automatic pistol in the car.

Officers searched the car and then found a "large amount" of marijuana, a scale and other drug paraphernalia, police said. The driver and two passengers were then arrested.
Two of the arrested people were from Orrville, and the third was from Cleveland. They were all charged with felony drug trafficking. Two of the three were also charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
