The Limited Closing All Remaining Businesses This Weekend
The store is offering 50 percent off of all products online. All sales will be final.

The Limited, a women's clothing store, is closing all of its stores by the end of this weekend. The store is currently offering 50 percent off of all merchandise purchased online, though all sales will be considered final.
The store was founded in Ohio in 1963. By 1976 the brand had opened 100 stores across the nation, focusing primarily on shopping malls. In 1990, the Limited had 772 stores nationwide. In 2013, it celebrated its 50th birthday. Now, it prepares to close its doors.
The company was badly impacted by the dying of American malls. By Dec. 20 of 2016, Bloomberg was reporting that the Limited was considering filing for bankruptcy. Layoffs and a slate of executive departures indicated the gathering storm clouds.

Now, the ax appears to be falling. Regionally, the Limited had stores at Beachwood Place Mall, Southpark Mall in Strongsville, Summit Mall in Akron, Crocker Park in Westlake, Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, and Belden Village in Canton.
Most locations have dumped their merchandise and are down to mannequins, shelves and tables.
