Man Threatens To Shoot Doctor In Westlake, Police Say
The man was the husband of one of the doctor's patients. He was later taken into custody by police and charged with aggravated menacing.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police said they arrested a man that threatened to shoot a doctor at a local retirement home. A temporary protection order was issued for the doctor by the Rocky River Municipal Court.
Staff at Westlake Village Retirement Community called police on Tuesday, Jan. 29. The employees said the husband of one of the residents had threatened to shoot a doctor caring for his wife.
Police went to the retirement community and spoke with witnesses. The doctor had left the facility, but was interviewed later by police. Both the Westlake Village Retirement Community and officers took the threat seriously, police said.

The man accused of making the threats was tracked to his home in North Olmsted. Police took him into custody without incident, they said.

The man has been charged with aggravated menacing. Rocky River Municipal Court then issued a temporary protection order against the man, police noted.
